December 26, 2011 and January 2, 2012 is not declared as Holiday by Malacanang. Probably a lot of you are currently waiting for the latest news about it while others maybe asking their officemates and friends whether the said days will be declared by PNoy as holiday. Since the said two days comes after the busiest and the most awaited holidays in the Philippine calendar.
We all know that December 26 and January 2 both fell on Monday but upon checking Official Gazette yesterday it is very unfortunate to the Philippine workforce that these two dates are not a holiday. It was not even mentioned on Proclamation number 84 (2011 Philippine Holidays) and Proclamation number 295 (2012 Phillippine Holidays).
Let us hope that PNoy will change his decision (after seeing Valerie Concepcion’s performance and laughing in her jokes at the PSG Christmas party) until December 23 or else you will be forced to have a scheduled sick leave or file an early vacation leave for legality sake for these dates to have time for rest, additional day for family bonding and time for visiting theme parks such as Manila Ocean Park, Star City and Enchanted Kingdom.
The remaining Holidays for the year 2010 are Christmas Day (December 25, Rizal Day (December 30) and on December 31 (Saturday, last day of the year). See the complete list of 2012 Philippine Holidays.
