Nokia Lumia Windows Phone Price Philippines, Specs, Pictures

Finnish mobile manufacturer Nokia has launched the Nokia Lumia series, the set of smartphones running on windows platform (WP7) codename “Mango.” If you don’t want to join the iOS and android bandwagon then this phone may be the right choice for you to stand out among friends.

For postpaid subscribers Nokia Lumia 710 is offered exclusively on Smart network under their special edition data plan 1000 plus 450 per month. Smart will also offer lumia 610 and lumia 900 though, as of the moment there is no specific launching date yet. Globe on the other hand will offer Lumia 800 free at their Unli Surf combo 1799.

Nokia Asha 302 Price in the Philippines is only P5290. Nokia Asha 302 is the latest addition to asha line-up, it was introduced by Bosing Vic Sotto today on Eat Bulaga. Perhaps you are also familiar with its TV ad since it is being aired a number of times every day.

Nokia Asha 302 shows off a 2.4” (320 x 240 QVGA TFT) display. It sports 3.2MP with 4x zoom camera (w/o flash) and is capable of QVGA and QCIF video playback of up to 30fps. Whats the best thing about this model is that it supports 3.5G and Wi-Fi. This is something essential if you spend most of the time online in facebook, twitter and yahoo messenger. If you are an avid music listener this phone is also the number choice as it can playback 50 hours of mp3 and it has FM radio so you can listen to your favorite radio station whenever needed. New Nokia Dual sim phones usually make its way in the Philippines with an advertisement aided by of Bossing Vic Sotto in Eat Bulaga. Entry level nokia phones having dual sim or touch QWERTY features can be seen the first time on the said noon time show mainly to get in touch with their lucky participants in Juan for All, All for Juan. Often times it is also being given as part of the prize for the lucky winners. Nokia maybe losing battle with high end phones category but still we cannot deny the fact that it has muscle in terms of affordable candy bar type handset. Nokia Asha 200 is the latest phone model flaunted by Bossing Vic Sotto after Nokia Asha 303 on their “Juan for All, All for Juan” segment in Eat Bulaga. It is also part of their give away to the luckily picked participants of that segment. This phone model seems like downgrade of asha 303 though equipped with some unique features which would probably target young market because of its price that is almost half of asha 303.

Nokia Asha 200 has 2.4” display with QVGA TFT (320 x 240) resolution. Has QWERTY keyboard for fast texting. It has 2MP camera without flash. Prominent feature of this phone is its easy swap dual sim which allow you to manage multiple sims. It can record music directly from FM radio and have it playback with its powerful speaker whenever the need arises. It also support up to 32GB internal storage via micro SD card so you can store up to 52 hours of music. Its pre-installed social networking sites can make you stay updated with your friends online with ease.

Nokia Asha 303 is the latest handset from Finnish mobile phone manufacturer which is being advertised by Vic Sotto in Eat Bulaga. I just saw the unit earlier today being utilized by the latter in calling the lucky winner of Juan for All, All for Juan. I visited several retailer stores in SM San Lazaro this afternoon to witness the actual unit but unfortunately I was not able to see even a dummy.

Nokia Asha 303 sports a 2.6” capacitive touchscreen with a full QWERTY keyboard equipped with a 3.2MP camera, an external speaker for higher audio volume. It has an internal storage of 170MB but if you need extra storage it is expandable up to 32GB via microSD. It has pre-installed social networking sites such as facebook and twitter. Whats nice with the phone is that it is equipped 1 GHz processor for better performance and goes with Wifi for faster web browsing experience whenever hotpots are present and a 3.5G connection whenever you need to rely on your subscription when connecting online. It has a dedicated music key for easy access to your mp3 lists.

Nokia C2 03 Price Philippines, Sample Pictures

My tatay just bought a Nokia C2-03 last week for the price of P4500 at nokia store in SM Manila. What he like most about the phone is its dual sim features another reason is he’s already used to Nokia phones from the start. I borrowed the phone just to test its camera and the touchscreen features.


Just to give a brief description Nokia C2-03 is a dual sim dual standby touch and type phone, it has 2MP camera (without LED flash), 2.8” resistive touchscreen display with 56K colors. Internal memory maybe low at 10MB but is expandable up to 32GB via microSD. For me one of the selling points of this phone first is its brand which is widely known for its simplicity that is easy to use mobile phone, second is the price and the third is the touchscreen features. It may seem to have everything from mp3 player, fm radio, nokia maps, Bluetooth, embedded facebook and twitter but one thing caught me is it doesn’t have wifi which for me probably the downside of this phone.

It seems Nokia C2-03 is selling like hotcakes here in the Philippines. I’ve visited SM mall just this afternoon and you know what most of the gadget stores I visited that offer nokia c2-03 has many customers most of them are inquiring to see the actual unit. It caught my attention because it was heavily advertised by Vic Sotto on Eat Bulaga few days back. Perhaps many become interested of nokia c2-03 because of the features that it offer or because of its low price. The unit is a slide touch and type phone that features dual sim easy-swap just like Nokia X1-01 and Nokia C2-00.

Nokia Dual Sim X1-01, C2-00 Specs, Price, Video, Advertisement

I was watching pinoy henyo on eat bulaga yesterday when one of the contestants was able to answer 3 pinoy henyo questions allowing them to get the jackpot price. Vic Sotto also handed them a Nokia C2-00 dual sim phone and Nokia X1-01 as a consolation price to none winners.

Nokia X1-01 is the dual sim version of Nokia X1-00 it maybe low cost but it offer nice music playing experience probably because of its large speaker at the back of the unit. Nokia X1-01 has FM radio capability, mp3 player, micro SD slot capable and has 3.5mm audio socket. X1-01 maybe dual sim phone but it can remember up to 5 individual simcard settings. The unit doesn’t have camera but has small flash light at the top end. It is capable of upto 13 hours talk time and 43 days stanby time. Nokia X1-01 price is at P1990 here in the Philippines.

Nokia C2-00 comes with a Bluetooth, micro SD card slot, multi media player, 3.5mm audio jack. Both sims used for the Nokia c2-00 are active at the same time. One of the features of Nokia C2-00 that is not available with other phones is that its Sim cards are swapable even if the phone is turn on. It is capable of up tp 4 hours talktime and 16 days standbye time. It has VGA camera. Nokia c2-00 price is at P2990 here in the Philippines.

Nokia N900: one of the best smartphone

One of my officemate bought a brand new Nokia N900 last Sunday at festival mall in Alabang. I was fortunate that he allowed me to use the phone every time he is around my department. So without second thought I grab the opportunity to do what the usual gadget freak would do to brand new phone.

From a far I thought it was N97, but when I examined it I noticed that there were slight changes on the design of its full slide out QWERTY keyboard and probably heavier than that of N97 from here I begun to think that probably this was only an upgrade of the latter.

What really fascinates me was its technical specification that is far better than N97 starting from the display, basically they both has 3.5” touch display but with N900 it has a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels wherein N97 has only 640 x 360 pixels. With this specs N900 would be able to show better video streaming and better resolution. It is also the first time for this Nokia model to implement a new operating system which is Linux maemo 5 while N97 uses the latest Symbian OS. One problem that N900 would be facing is the availability of software applications that is compatible to its operating system. Unlike the N97 symbian OS applications can be find everywhere on the internet.

When it comes to picture taking/camera just like what I would always want to do both model has 5 megapixel Carl Zeiss autofocus with dual LED flash camera. I have below sample of pictures taken by Nokia N900


When it comes to gaming experience for those who love to play 3D games (first person) just like me N900 has a 3D graphics that can respond to your gaming needs. One problem that this model faces is the availability of developed 3D accelerated games for N900. If there is none then that is a very big problem.

Both of the models have an internal memory of 32GB with an additional slot for memory card expandable up to 16GB. Lots of space available to store phone numbers, lots of space to store probably even messages received for the whole year can be saved with this available memory (this is what I always want to do), if you’re a type of person who like to listen to mp3 for the whole day doing nothing N900 can store millions of songs and lots of AVI movies for you same. By the way N900 has 256MB of RAM twice faster than the available RAM of N97.

N900 do data transfer thru bluetooth, infrared, WLan (wifi). I just wonder why they install infrared port for this model. Probably this model has an application as a remote control for your TV (Joke)


For me I consider the most important feature of the phone is its battery life and sad to say N900 was overrun by N97 below is the comparison.

So if you find this phone features worth the price then buy one for yourself. For me just like what the old saying Patience is a virtue so what I would do is to wait till the price of this phone drops just in case I will buy one.

From this review I think one major problem that Nokia N900 is facing is its lack of available application and its battery life. If these problems would be addressed then this model would be superior.
