Samsung galaxy pocket boasts 2.8” (240 x 320) QVGA capacitive display, 832MHz processor and equipped with android 2.3 gingerbread operating system. It carries the latest touchwiz user interface which feature easy to access widgets and shortcuts to deliver much smoother menu navigation. The upgraded UI makes typing speedier and gives more accurate text inputs for both web searches and quick messaging. Wi-Fi and HSDPA 3.6 is also integrated in this smartphone to experience fast download and smooth web browsing. On the entertainment side Samsung galaxy pocket has built-in FM radio so users can tune in to their favorite radio station wherever they want. I don’t know when this happen but just today smart seem to change their pricing for this flagship model from Samsung since it is now available free at smart unlimited data plan 2000. If you want an unlock version according to a friend you can get it in Samsung store in the Philippines priced at P33000 each.

Samsung galaxy note is a hybrid of tablet and smartphone that runs with android Gingerbread OS. It is powered by a 1.4GHz dual core that comes with 5.3” HD super AMOLED display (1280 x 800 pixels at 285 ppi). Samsung champ 2 is the latest addition to the list of Samsung touchscreen entry level phones in the Philippines. Though there is not that much announcement for its arrival I think it still can draw decent amount of attention particular to teens and students.

Samsung champ 2 (C3330) basically is the upgraded version of the former. It has little improvement when it comes to technical specs, display sports a 2.4”resistive touchscreen which is the same as its predecessor. Camera has been upgraded to 2Mp which is a little higher than the original champ. The redesigned casing looks elegant though it is still made with plastic material.

The downside of this phone though it has an embedded facebook and twitter it still has no wifi so most of the time you’ll rely much on your subscription to get in touch with your friends in social networking sites.

I came across one of Samsung Corby II few days ago so I grab the chance to take some sample pictures and give it a hands on. Samsung Corby 2 features a 3.14” 256K color display, capacitive touchscreen and a 2MP camera but no led flash. It is capable of video recording QVGA@15fps. It comes with trendy colors and handy design that would probably target teens who like to be connected with friends in facebook and twitter.
