Dangwa Flower, Price, List, Market 2011

My wife requested me to accompany her going to Dangwa last Saturday. She needed to canvass for the price of particular flower arrangements and the ordering lead time for their activity at the hospital. We chose to go to Dangwa because there are lots of stores to choose from and prices are low.

I have here some pictures of flowers and their prices which we got from our Dangwa visit.

Landmark that you are in Dangwa

Dangwa flower Price range from P250 to P300

Center table flowers Price ranging from P300 to P400

I forgot the name Price around P2000, lead time 1 day

How to get Dangwa:

If you’re coming from SM North or somewhere from northbound as well as if you’re from Baclaran or from southbound better to ride LRT 1 then get off at Tayuman Station. From there walk towards SM Mall San Lazaro at Felix Huertas Street ride Jeep with signboard Lardizabal just tell the driver to drop you off at Dangwa. This is the fastest route so far.

If coming from Quiapo or somewhere in Taft Avenue just ride Jeep with signboard Dapitan-UST then ask the driver to drop you off at Dangwa.

Panagbenga 2011 Detailed Schedule Calendar of Events

Panagbenga 2011 is the celebration of the 16th Baguio flower festival. This year’s main theme is “The Environment and Community in Harmony”. With reference to Wikipedia Panagbenga was formerly known as Baguio Flower Festival. Panagbenga is a month long flower festival celebrated during month of February and ended up during the first Sunday of March in Baguio the summer capital of the Philippines. History says that in 1996 Ike Picpican an archivist and curator suggested that Baguio Flower Festival be reneamed to “Panagbenga” a Kankanaey term that means “a season of blossoming, a time for flowering”. I have here the complete list activities for this year’s Flower festival:

SM Mall of Asia Zipline Rates, Pictures, information

Asia’s third largest shopping mall located at Bay City, Pasay City in the Philippines will have its own version of zipline. The same company who made the zipline in tagaytay picnic grove is the one heading the project.

If I’m not mistaken if this project would progress this will be the second zipline in the city as the first is the zoom tree top adventure located in circulo verde in ortigas. One thing not determined yet is if this zipline will be motorized or propelled by gravity. I’ll be posting here update on the information about the rates, and pictures as soon as it becomes operational.

Tagaytay Picnic Grove Zipline and Cable Car

Last February 6 2010 my family went to Tagaytay to visit some of the tourist attraction in the place, though we’ve been there many times we still feel excited. I did not know that there is already zipline and cable car in picnic grove. It was placed above eco-adventure trail which is 500 meters long. Zipline is said to be 250 meters long and 300 feet off the ground. It is much higher as compared to Zipline in Ortigas though I’m not sure if it offers the silver surfer position. This Tagaytay Zipline and Cable Car is propelled by gravity which can allow you  travel as fast as 60 km per hour.

Their single zipline harness is capable of carrying a weight of up to 2 tons or equivalent to 7 sumo wrestlers.

They also offer cable car just in case whole family or big group would want to experience riding it.

Tagaytay Zipline Rates are not that expensive considering that you’ll be exposed to once in a lifetime extreme experience. One way ride would cost about Php200 per person during weekdays and Php300 per person during weekends. 2 way rides is about Php300 per person on weekdays and Php400 during weekends. All rides has free 1 souvenir photo.

One thing you should know is that Zipline and cable car is not under Picnic Grove management.

How to get to La Mesa Ecopark

It’s been months since my family went to La Mesa Ecopark, I can describe it as paradise in the city where you can experience to walk in the forest and hear the sound of birds which can rarely experience nowadays in the Metro Manila.

What you can see in La Mesa Ecopark

Aside from swimming pool there are five attractions which are available in the park.

Lopez Picnic Grounds

- Five hectares of picnic spots with grilling facilities

Superferry Boating Lagoon

- This is where you can experience paddle boat ride just like what was in Manila Zoo.

Petron Fitness and Mountain Bike Trail

- If you want a full body workout then this is the place for you, with matching shades of trees and fresh air.

Shell Flower Terraces

- This is where you can experience climbing stairs that was as high as grotto of Baguio.

La Mesa Ecopark also is also famous as venue for prenuptial picture taking.

How to get there

For commuters just like us, if you’ll be coming from Espana or Quiapo it would be easier to take a Fairview-bound FX, bus, or jeepney, tell the driver to drop you off at the East Fairview Subdivision. At the gate, you should find plenty of tricycles that can take you to the Eco Park. When we went there we ride Fx from Trabaho Espana, the fare was only P35 per head. Then going home we ride taxi it only cost us P200 pesos from there to SM San Lazaro.

Philippine Passport Renewal in no time

Philippine Passport Renewal In No Time

Last June 2010 I decided to renew my passport even though it still has one year before its expiration. I am weighing if I will renew it in the traditional way meaning I would go to DFA-OCA to process it on my own or seek assistance from travel agencies. Since the processing is by appointment I checked first which of the two choices would give me faster result. I called first DFA they told me that my scheduled appointment will be on September 6 then after that I called on the travel agency they scheduled me on August 11. Even though the fee will be doubled I decided to seek assistance of the agency since it would expedite the processing by almost a month. I was able to renew my passport in just 45 minutes, it was that fast because DFA-OCA has placed a dedicated processing section only for the clients of Travel agencies. The agency will deliver the passport in my house once it was released. I am sharing this so that others who would encounter the same thing will know what to consider during the Philippine Passport renewal.

Now, if you have decided to seek the assistance of an agency here is what you need to do, go to this website http://www.telephonepassportexpress.com/ or call 567-1111. You will be given a choice whether they would fetch your passport or you will go to their office and personally hand it over to them. In my case since I’m a bit lazy to get out of the house I requested them to fetch my passport I just prepare what they need plus fee of P1800 and that’s it. After a week they will inform you thru text message about your appointment schedule.

During the appointment wear something dark shirt with collar. The first procedure that you would undergo is the assessment of your documents to determine if it is complete. After that authorized personnel from DFA would assist you going to the second floor for signature, picture taking, thumb marking and personal details verification and that’s all.

Wait for 10 working days for the delivery of your Renewed passport. Passport Renewal is very easy but you have to wait for days for your personal appearance base from my experience.

Aside from Philippine Passport Renewal you may want to read about NBI Clearance Renewal in no time.
