Just yesterday most of my facebook friends post and re post the alleged Miss Universe 2011 statement of Oprah Winfrey favoring Miss Philippines that should have won the Miss Universe 2011 title. Oprah noticed that among the top 5 finalist it is only Miss Philippines who was able to answer direct to the point even though doesn’t have the luxury of having an interpreter to buy her time to refine her answer. To be honest I was glad to know that even Oprah Winfrey “the queen of talk” was showing sympathy to Miss Philippines.
Here’s the message that is spreading in social networking site facebook.
REPOST: Oprah Winfrey via NBC News: “I have reservations with the results. If the only basis is the Q and A portion, after having been trimmed down to 5, Ms. Philippines deserved to win. What made her different from the rest is that she had no seconds to rethink of her answer as she had no interpreter to break the ice. The rest had their interpreters and having breaks on seconds to think about their answers. Hands down, Ms. Philippines answered straight to the point.”
Unfortunately this message was not real basing from what the OWNBear, Oprah.com Community Manager and OWNModerator, Oprah.com reply to their commenter.
