Thia Megia perform Heat wave Replay (Video)

After two consecutive weeks that the three judges give a not so good remarks against Thia because of singing Ballad most of the time. Thia finally come up with a song that would wow the judges. These weeks theme was about Motown Thia did a rendition of Martha and the Vandellas’ “(Love is Like a) Heat Wave” aside from the song I noticed that she changed her looks or maybe I was wrong but it seems she had a change in aura.

Thia Megia Colors of the Wind Performance Video Replay

March 16 episode of American Idol Season 10 will let the contestants / finalists to choose song which they will do their rendition. Thia Megia since was born in 1995 chose to sing “Colors of the Wind” by Vanessa Williams which during that time was the main theme of Diney’s Pocahontas. Majority of the judges remarked that her vocals were fine and safe for this week’s round but they also commented that it was boring. Here’s the comment from the three judges: Randy Jackson said “very boring”, “felt like I was at some pageant somewhere.” Steven Tyler – “beautiful voice” he asked Thia if “Colors of the Wind” represents her.” Jennifer Lopez generally thinks that Megia should have an out of the box performance next time.

Thia Megia sings "Out Here on My Own" Video Replay

American Idol Season 10 Top 12 girls Thia Megia (16 year old) performed a rendition of “Out Here on My Own”. This is just what the three judges have said:

Randy Jackson: Your tone reminded me of the tone of Michael Jackson.

Steven Tyler: Somebody’s pitch can be so perfect it doesn’t matter what you sing. That was beautiful.

Jennifer Lopez: It was so beautiful. It was a quiet moment.

Thia Megia and Melinda Ademi performs Here Comes the Sun

Thia Megia and Medlinda Ademi are one of the youngest competitors in the American Idol Season 10 before the performance they had a rehearsal with a so called vocal coach from hell. The performance only last for few seconds after that judges gave their verdict for the two singers. Thia Megia received good comments from the three judges: Randy brown says “very interesting” and says something about unique voice, J-Lo say something about “cute” and lastly Steven Tyler says “Thia was just alright for me”.

Jennifer Lopez seems ok for the singers’ performance. Randy Jackson remarked to Melinda that she started a little shaky. Steven remarked Melinda as little behind in phrasing. See the rest of the video:
