Chairman of ABS-CBN Gaby Lopez did the Ice Bucket Challenge after being nominated by veteran news anchor Noli De Castro.
The video of the actual stint was uploaded on Youtube on August 31, 2014. Charo Santos-Concio, the network’s President and CEO also did the ALS ICB.
Lots of local celebrities from ABS-CBN Kapamilya Network, GMA7 Kapuso Network, and TV5 Kapatid Network have done their fair share to create awareness of Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) by doing the Ice Bucket Challenge.
Now, the floor is passed on to the Big Bosses, the CEOs, and the Chairmen of these Top 3 TV networks in the Philippines to do their fair for the disease.

Gaby Lopez then nominated Henry Gozon of GMA7, and Manny Pangilinan of TV5 to do the challenge. He asked the two gentlemen to also donate to ALS Association aside from doing the challenge.
Previously, ABS-CBN President and CEO Charo Santos-Concio did the ALS Ice bucket challenge. She then nominated actress Dawn Zulueta and Senator Grace Poe it.

ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is a worldwide campaign to raise awareness and funds for Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or Lou Gehrig’s disease, a kind of illness that affects nerve cells in the brain down to the spinal cord. It causes paralysis and death to those who have it. As of the moment, ALS has no cure yet and also the reason for its occurrence is unknown.
To successfully do the Ice Bucket Challenge, a person would have to dump ice cold water on his / her head (it can be done with help from a friend). Afterward, that person would have to nominate 3 of his acquaintances to also do the challenge. Those who are nominated should perform the ICB within 24 hours and donate $10. Those who won’t perform the stint would have to donate a greater amount, which is around $100.
