I am not saying this is correct but It might be the reason your internet suddenly slows down as compared to the usual. If there is a lot of devices connecting to the internet using your router all at the same time. Of course, these devices will also share the available bandwidth coming from your globe wifi router.
Aside from my mentioned scenario, changing your globe wifi password is essential simply because the brand is very popular. In my experience, the process is so simple that you can use either your PC or smartphone to do it.
- Step 1. Login to your globe at home Panel
The first thing that you will do is to access your device through its IP address. In your default browser search bar, type in the 192.168.254.254. You will be redirected to your globe at home login page.
Type in the default user and password in the given space. If it is different from the one I listed here, you can see it at the bottom of your device.
- Step 2. Change your globe at home wifi name
For those who do not know, your default wifi name is also seen at the bottom of your device. It is the SSID or the “Service Set Identifier.”
You can keep it as it is and just change your password or you can change both. I suggest that you the latter. In this way, those nearby who are searching for free wifi whether on their desktop or smartphone will not know that you are a subscriber of the globe at home.
Your preferred username should be unique but make sure you can memorize it. Alternatively, write it down on a piece of paper and post it on your fridge door. So, when you forget it, you will know where to find it.
- Step 3. Change your wifi password
Make sure that your password is hard to guess at least by those who can detect your wifi signal. There is no preferred number of letters and special characters.
Though my suggestion when you create your own wifi password make a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters. Write it down on a piece of paper and post it on your closet door or fridge door.
When everything is set, hit that “Apply” button. After doing so, Globe will inform you that all of the wifi devices will be disconnected and you have to reconnect them using the new user and password.
Congratulations! You are now able to change your globe at home wifi password.

If you want to return to your default wifi user name and password. You have to reset your device by poking the tiny hole button located at the back of your device. The button has a red circle surrounding it so you can see it easily.
The default username is “user” and the default password is @l03e1t3. In many cases, you can see this at the back of your Globe at Home device. You will need these login details to access your router’s gateway.
