The easiest way to know if the recruitment agency is DMW accredited is to simply check their names on the Department of Migrant Workers’ website.

In this post, I will teach you a total of 5 ways how you can verify if the agency is legit and accredited by DMW. Three of these require an internet connection, while the 4th way requires that you have access to a telephone line. The 5th way requires that you go to the nearest DMW branch.

What is a DMW Accredited Recruitment Agency?

This means that an agency has acquired a license from the Department of Migrant Workers to allow them to operate as a recruitment agency that will send skilled Filipino workers abroad.

In order for agencies to acquire accreditation from DMW, they should submit the requirements that the DMW ask of them. They should also comply with the rules and regulations set by the DMW.

Why should you verify if the agency is DMW Accredited

The DMW is an executive department of the Philippine government that protects the rights and promotes the welfare of Overseas Filipino Workers as well as their families. It is also the branch of the government that supervise and monitor the recruitment and manning agencies in the Philippines.

Before sending your applications to a manpower agency. It is your responsibility to verify if the latter is accredited by the Department of Migrant Workers. The main reason is, it is for your own protection and safety.

As we all know, some agencies operate to really help you get a job bound for abroad as it is their passion to help Filipinos and their families live a better life.

Meanwhile, there are so-called agencies that are unreliable or untrustworthy and whose aim is just to take advantage of you. They will take your hard-earned funds and then just run away. Check the Status of the Agency in DMW by License Validity

Step 1: Visit the DMW Website and Go to License Recruitment Agencies Tab

Go to the Department of Migrant Workers’ website at www.dmw.gov.ph. At the homepage, proceed to the “Licensed Recruitment Agencies” tab which you will find in the navigation bar. The latter will redirect you to the “Licensed Recruitment Agencies” page.

Step 2: Enter the Agency’s Name in the Search Bar

Enter the correct name of the agency in the agency space. If you know the complete name of the agency then type it completely. Otherwise, the first three names/keywords of the agency will do. The website will load all the agencies that have those names/keywords on them.

Step 3: View the License Status of the Agency

The DMW website will indicate if the agency has a Valid License, Cancelled, or Suspended. It will also show you the complete details of the agency such as the complete name, address, telephone number, email, and validity of the license.

In the example, you will notice the that agency has a “VALID LICENSE” and its expiration date is on September 25, 2026.

Check the Status of the Agency in DMW by Approved Job Orders

Step 1: Visit the DMW Website then go to Approved Job Orders Tab

Visit the Department of Migrant Workers’ website at www.dmw.gov.ph. At the homepage, go to the “Approved Job Orders” tab which you can find in the navigation bar. It will redirect you to the “Approved Job Orders of Licensed Recruitment Agencies” page.

Step 2: Select Agency in the Dropdown Menu then Type the Name of the Agency in the Given Space

In the menu, choose “Agency”. Afterward, type the name of the agency in the given space. If you know the complete name of the agency then type it then. Or input the first three names/keywords of the agency.

As a result, the website will show you all the agencies having those words on their names. Afterward, hit the “Search” button. The agency is accredited by DMW if it has an approved job order.

Note: there are times when the website takes a while to load so just be patient.

Step 3: View the DMW Approved Job Orders of the Agency

If the agency is accredited by DMW, then the website will show you the approved job orders of the agency. You will also see in the list the Job Sites, Job Order Balance, and the Date the JO was approved.

Check the Status of the Agency by Calling the DMW Hotline

If you can’t find the name of the agency on the website, you may inquire directly to DMW by calling their hotline number.

To see the Department of Migrant Worker’s contact details, go to the dmw.gov.ph website, then proceed to Contact Us, then scroll down until you see the “Hotline” that you can dial using your phone.

Check the Status of the Agency by Writing an Email to DMW

If you are not in a hurry, another way to inquire DMW about the license status of the agency is by sending them an email. For general inquiries, you can write an email to connect@dmw.gov.ph, and for feedback and suggestions, write an email to feedback@dmw.gov.ph.
