Here are the actual photos of the customized wedding shoes worn by my wife at our wedding in the Philippines. This post will give the soon to be married couples an idea about the price per pair, lead time per order, and details of the shoe supplier.
Probably, every couple who are to get married in the Philippines would like to have a unique wedding experience. The primary reason is that it will only happen once in every couple’s lives. As much as possible, we wanted it to be memorable and special.
Oftentimes, brides would like to have unique wedding gowns and sandals /shoes that will match to the motif of their wedding. Just like anyone else, my wife also wants it that way.
Based on our experience, it is very difficult to look for wedding shoes in malls that are aligned with the theme of the wedding. Aside from that, if we see a pair, it is often expensive.
Instead of getting a pair of shoes that cost more than 5K pesos in malls, we decided to have it custom made. Surprisingly, the shoes only cost us less than 2K pesos for a pair (at the time of our wedding) even though it is uniquely made.
You can see below photos of the actual custom made wedding shoes worn by my wife on our wedding day. I can say that she is very satisfied with it. The color matches our wedding theme, and it fits perfectly with her.
What we did is we search for several wedding shoe designs online regardless of the color. Afterward, we just have the photos printed and bring them to the supplier. We also search for the different wedding themes online including the different color combinations. Then we come up with the decision. One of our decisions is the tangerine-colored sandals below which perfectly matches our theme.
For cheap, but elegantly looking wedding gowns, couples can always go to Divisoria in Manila. They will find different wedding gown designs in Tutuban Mall, 168 Mall, and Divisoria Mall. For affordable jewelry such as engagement or wedding rings, it is always best to go to Ongpin in Sta. Cruz Manila. Now, when comes to shoes or sandals, if a bride would like to have it customized, I know a shop that makes customized wedding shoes.
Perhaps, married couples already know about the shop. However, for those who do not, the shop I am talking about is Abbylyn Shoes or Abbylyn Fashion. They make custom made wedding shoes, a pouch for the bride and parents.
The lead-time per order is usually 3 to 4 weeks for a pair of shoes and bags. This probably depends on the peak season months such as in January, February, June, and December.
Just to give you an idea, the price of those tangerine sandals in the photos is less than PHP 2000 in the year 2012. The price per pair of shoes / sandals varies. It probably depends on the design, and type of materials used.
Abbylyn Shoes is located at Marikina Show Expo (Cubao Expo) in the Philippines. It is in front of Superstore Arcade and is just 5 minutes away by foot from Gateway Mall. The fastest and I think the easiest way to get there is by riding LRT 2 whether you are coming from the north or south of Metro Manila. Afterward, alight at Araneta Center-Cubao Station.
To make it a lot easier to get there, here’s the map courtesy of wikimapia.org and the photo of the main entrance of Cubao Expo Exit: In the Philippines, you may think that having customized wedding shoes will come out costlier than ready-made in malls. However, when my wife and I visited popular malls here in Manila, it seems otherwise. The unique wedding shoes made by Abbylyn Shoes is a lot cheaper based on our experience.
Hi –
Please send me bridal shoe designs and the price range for it. My wedding is on Feb 9, 2013. Thanks in advance
Hi Celeste, I can only give you idea base on our experience. Actually you can search for the shoes/sandals design on the internet, bring the picture to the shop then they will make it for you. Lead time is 3 weeks maximum but of course you should always get in touch with the shop attendant for your other concerns. Unfortunately, I cannot share to you the photo of my wife’s custom made shoes since my wedding is fast approaching (as in). But, promise after the wedding I will share the shoe picture after the wedding.
Hi, been trying to contact po lahat ng numbers ng abbylyn sa net.to no avail. Please pls po can you send me your contact info and email.salamat
I suggest puntahan nyo na lang po minsan hindi po sila nakakasagot ng phone nila.
I should have heeded your advice on giving them a lead time of 3-4 weeks. Even though they assured me that my order was going to be made in time for a wedding I’m attending (which is 2 weeks away from my date of ordering at their shop), it wasn’t. I feel like I wasted my time waiting for them when I could have found other shoe sources. The final product didn’t come out as expected either. Their base price of Php1,400 is a good deal but you REALLY need to give them a month to get it semi-right.
please send me your contact details i want to order one for my wedding
thanks
Hi. Please send me you email address so I can you the photo of my preferred customize shoes.
Thank you.
Hi Cherie Anne, their shop is located at Cubao Expo, just near the Gateway Mall.
