The Voice Kids Philippines Second Runner Up Darren Espanto will continue his singing career in the Philippines.
In his interview with MJ Felipe in late night news broadcast of ABS-CBN – Bandila, Darren Espanto revealed that he will not be returning to Calgary in Alberta Canada anytime soon, instead he will be staying in the Philippines to pursue his singing career. He will stay with relatives here in the Philippines while his parents are working in Canada.
“Hindi na po, kasi po marami rin pong mga parang offers po pagkatapos po nung finals.”
“Kaya po sabi po nung mga magulang ko, sila na lang po ang uuwi for the meanwhile, para naman po makabalik sa trabaho.” Darren explained to MJ Felipe.

Darren Espanto, Darlene Vibares, Juan Karlos Labajo and TVKids PH Grand Chamipion Lyca Gairanod will be performing in the upcoming The Voice Kids Philippines Charity concert. Joining them, are their respective coaches; Lea Salonga, Bamboo Manalac, Sarah Geronimo. Selected Kapamilya will also be performing during the event such as Jovit Baldovino, KZ Tandingan, Morisette Amon and Klarisse de Guzman. The concert will raise funds for the victims of the recent typhoons Glenda and Yolanda that tremendously affects various locations in the country.
The charity concert was sold out, fans need not to worry as it will also be aired on ABS-CBN this coming August 2,2012 (Saturday) at 6:45pm.
Darren Espanto sings “Somebody to Love” by Justine Bieber, “Ngayon” by Basil Valdez, and “You are My Song” with Concert King Martin Nievera during the two-day (July 26-27) The Voice Kids Philippines Grand Finale. He placed second runner up while Lyca Gairanod bagged the The Voice Kids PH grand champion.
