Government Service Insurance System card ( GSIS ECard ) Activation Process with Tagalog translations. This steps will help you activate your card.
1. Please place your e-card on the card reader to begin your gwaps transaction.
(Ilagay ang inyong ecard sa reader upang simulan ang gwaps transaction)
2. One biometric verification is required before you can use your GSIS ecard plus in the gwap kiosks for any transaction. This is done by fingerprint scanning by placing either your index or thumb finger. (Mayroong minsanang verification sa biometric bago magamit ang inyong e-card plus sa anumang transaction sa kiosks. Ilagay ang alinmang daliri Hinlalaki o hintuturo gaya ng nasa larawan).
3. After that you’ll be notified if the validation is Successful. You can now apply for a loan after 24 hours. (Tagumpay ang validation maaari na kayong mag loan sa kiosk makalipas ang 24 oras).
Procedure for securing GSIS Cash Advance Loan
1. Place e-card on ecard reader
2. Choose from the Main Menu on which transaction you are intended to process.
- Member’s Information
- Loans Window
- Claims
- UBP Balance Inquiry
- Exit
3. For loans go to Loans Window
Choose the type of loan of which you’re intended to process. Currently there are four (4) types which you can avail depending on your eligibility.
- Cash Advance
- Conso Loan
- Policy Loan
- Emergency Loan
- Back to Main Menu
4. A specific amount would reflect on the screen choose proceed if you’re willing to accept the specified amount. Or choose X for cancel.
If there was no amount reflected on screen it only means that you are not eligible yet for the loan. With this you have to coordinate with Member Assistant Officer (MAO).
5. How to change Cellphone number
- a. Press clear near the cellphone number then type your new number.
- b. Press “Update” once finished.
6. After updating the cellphone number you’ll be directed to Loan Agreement Window. Press “Agree” if you’re sure to accept the intended amount of loan. Or press Cancel otherwise.

hey gsis employee, i apply the umid card last december until now i did not recieve yet,what’s wrong with it this is my 3 times renew of an ecard,then why thier still a problem?my coleague apply last january then it recieve last march…what happen for my umid card?why you did inform me what is the problem…that is your work to look up my ecard.

i just claimed my e-card last friday i’ve been trying to activate it through landbank atm but the machine keeps on saying these words “sorry your transactions cannot be process” what action should i do and how can i used it if i am about to apply for a loan?
I also have exact dilemma. I can’t change my pin, balance inquire because it says transaction cannot be processed. What shall we do with this? Please help us.
