You might be thinking whether January 23 2012 (celebration of Chinese New Year) is declared Holiday.
We’ll according to Proclamation No. 295 signed by President Benigno S. Aquino III aka PNoy January 23, 2012 is already been declared Holiday under Special (Non-Working) days.
Here is the list of other (Special Non-Working) Holidays in 2012
- Ninoy Aquino Day – August 21 (Tuesday)
- All Saints Day – November 1 (Thursday)
- Additional special (non-working) day – November 2 (Friday)
- Last Day of the Year – December 31 (Monday)
To Chinese Filipinos January 23, 2012 which fell on Monday is the celebration of Chinese New year and first day of year of the dragon but for ordinary Filipinos this is again another long weekend which may serve as another opportunity for bonding moments for families, friends.
The question next is what can we do to benefit from this long weekend? Here’s some of my suggestion spend the day visiting theme parks like Manila Ocean Park or maybe StarCity also try to check Jeds Island Resort for resorts and Avilon Zoo for Zoo.
Anyway, whatever your reason is just enjoy this opportunity and make your family happy.
