Congratulations to Jovit Baldivino of Batangas for being the grand winner of the first-ever Pilipinas Got Talent – a Philippine-based reality talent competition show from ABS-CBN “Kapamilya” Network.
I have here a compilation of Jovit Baldivino’s performance on Pilipinas Got Talent. I became one of his fans after he sang the song “Faithfully” by the American Rock band, Journey. The reason is hearing Jovit’s voice as he sings the song gives me goosebumps.
From there, I started to follow every performance that he had in the said talent search. I admire him for being down to earth. Aside from that, he also has the charisma to his audience. I think he is a rockstar.
Here is his first audition to PGT where he performs “Faithfully” by Journey. This video was aired in ABS-CBN on February 27, 2010.
During the pre-performance interview, he told that joining PGT can be the chance to get his family out of poverty. He also shared that they were 5 siblings. Their parents are unemployed. He was 16 years old at the time of the audition.
Kris Aquino’s first impression when he walks to the center of the stage is he seems to have a talent. Ai-Ai Delas Alas said that “binuhay ni Jovit ang katawang lupa” of the female PGT judge. Luis Manzano describes him that he may look short in height but he has a loud voice.
Prior to joining the reality talent search, Jovit Baldivino sells Siomai in the market to support his schooling and his family.
After his first audition, the three judges answered “YES.”
Here is the replay of Jovit’s performance in the grand finals of PGT Season 1 held on June 12, 2010. He performs “Too Much Love Will Kill You” by the British rock band, Queen.
Freddie “FMG” M. Garcia describes Jovit as really unbelievably very good.
