There was a times when I saw group of parents gather around to talk about Kumon while waiting for their kids at school. Though I heard about Kumon often, I don’t have enough knowledge about it.
First impression is that Kumon is just a tutorial center that has branches in the Philippines and their instructors interact with their students on a one-on-one basis.
Out of curiosity I visit their website to gain more information. Kumon is basically not a tutorial center, they offer far beyond that in a way that their aim is to encourage students to have a desire for knowledge so they can advance further than their school grade level taking up currently. Kumon method of teaching existed because of father’s love to their son. It is so good that it exist for more than 50 years and it’s been accepted by other 46 countries. They cover Reading and Math subjects.
