Here is my review and experience with Metrodeal Philippines. I do not usually buy things, sometimes, it would take years before I replace my favorite shoes or clothing.
Recently, I bought Toms Shoes which I purchase from a store in the US that also has an online store. I was not able to get a discount for the item unlike when I purchase from group buying websites, which offer as much as 70 percent discount. Cashcashpinoy, Metrodeal, and Ensogo are the three popular sites in the Philippines for eCommerce. If I wanted to get quality items at very low price, I check these three websites. On the other hand, I go to Kimstore, if I want to purchase gadgets.
Buying online takes a lot of courage, especially if the cost of the item is more than P4000, and being skeptical is a natural reaction for first-time buyers. What I am going to share with you is my experience and a short review of Metrodeal Philippines.
Usually, the items bought from them would take 15 to 20 days before it is delivered. I am afraid to spend my hard-earned money for an item I won’t be able to receive immediately compared if I buy in malls, but since I really like the wristwatch, I give it a try.
I purchase a voucher for the Skagen watch as a wedding anniversary gift for my wife. I thought I won’t be able to get the item within the given delivery period because several days have passed already after the first day. To address my concern, I shoot them an email. They explained that the delivery process was still ongoing. To ease up my mind, they sent an email to the responsible merchant CC’ed to me. Two days after the email the item was delivered at my doorstep.
For me, my first purchase to Metrodeal Philippines is a good experience (no hassle). I was able to receive the Skagen watch within the delivery period, I experience a nice reply through email from their staff, and I received a quality item. I would definitely recommend Metrodeal to my friends and to those first-time buyers who wanted to try group buying websites like Metrodeal Philippines. They offer different payment options whichever is convenient for their customers.
They accept credit card (VISA, Mastercard), Paypal, Bancnet, GCash, Smart Money, and over the counter transactions (OTC) participated by different banking corporations (BDO, BPI, Eastwest, Chinabank, Metrobank, UCPB, Unionbank) and courier services (LBC).
Metrodeal has two branches, one in Metro Manila, and in Cebu. If you want to buy from them but somehow still skeptical, I suggest that you purchase low-cost items first, something that would cause minimal regret if not delivered for whatever reason.
Have you tried purchasing in group buying websites like Metrodeal? Please share your experience at the comment section. Good or bad it will still help first-timers on their buying decisions.
I’ve bought vouchers for spa services at metrodeal and my experiences have been positive. However don’t try their prepaid loading service. Several times in the past the system has gotten my payment then placed the load on hold until I send a scanned copy of my ID and card. I’ve had to do this several times on different occasions. Save yourself the aggravation and just don’t use the service.
