The world knows that the Miss World 2013 crown belongs to a 23-year-old Filipina – Megan Lynne Young. Every time I search for Miss World 2013, the name Megan Young always shows up and that’s very heartwarming.
The Filipina beauty queen bested 127 other candidates from different parts of the world during the Miss World 2013 event held in September 2013 in Bali, Indonesia. As a result, she became the first Filipina to win the Miss World title. Furthermore, she also gave fame to her country, the Philippines.
We all know that she has the looks, the brains, and the guts to become a beauty queen. But have you ever asked yourself about the deciding factor that made the 13 judges choose Megan to be the 63rd Miss World?

Miss World 2013 Question – “Why should you be Miss World?”
Megan Young Answer – “Selamat Malam Indonesia (don’t know if I hear it right), Miss world for me treasures the core values of humanity and that guides her into understanding people why they act the way that they do. How they live in their lives and I will use these core values and my understanding not only helping others but to show other people how they can understand others, to help others… so that as one together, we shall help society, thank you.”
Miss France Answer: Good evening Indonesia, good evening everyone. For me, it will be an honor to become Miss World because it’s a very prestigious title and especially because I appreciate the fact that Miss World travel a lot and meet people all around the world and try to help them. So, I think I’m someone natural and generous. That’s it. I wish you a good evening.
Miss Ghana Answer: Good evening Indonesia. I believe Miss World should be someone who is a woman of substance who is compassionate and who truly embodies beauty with a purpose. If I’m given this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I’ll wake up each day knowing that I have an image to keep to influence the lives of young people. Especially young women and to make an impact in the lives of the less privileged. Thank you.
After the result of the question and answer. The judges choose Miss Ghana to become third place, while Miss France occupies second place and runner-up to Miss World.
