Filipino teachers gear up, Papua New Guinea (PNG) has available jobs for you. The Department of Education of Papua New Guinea needs Filipino teachers and lecturers to fill up the job openings in their country this coming 2014.
There will be 81 teachers and lecturers urgently needed in the initial manpower recruitment phase in accordance to the newly signed bilateral agreement between the Philippines and PNG.
According to DOLE Secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz the recruitment is ongoing yet is urgently required. Those who will quality will be petitioned by Papua New Guinea government’s working visa status.
Secretary Baldoz said that the manpower needed are lecturers in Physics, biological technician and biology, civil engineering, drafting, building architecture, surveying, management, economics, and electrical engineering specialized in power and electronics.
The vacant position for teachers are for diesel heavy equipment fitter, motor vehicle, heavy equipment fitter, metal fabrication, automotive electrical, tourism, and welding technology.
There are also jobs for teachers that have specialization in academic subjects such as Mathematics, housekeeping, Chemistry, biology, Physics, information technology, library electronic and Physical Education.
Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed by the PNG department of education representative. Newly hired applicants will have an annual salary ranging from PNG Kina 47,489 to PNG Kina 52,759 or roughly 700,000 to 850,000 Pesos. According to POEA records the OFW employment in PNG is on increasing trend.
In the last four years, from 2009 to 2012, there are total of 23,230 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) diversified in the field of Manufacturing and production, administrative and managerial position, clerical jobs, sales, and service related jobs.
