President Noynoy Aquino has declared July 29,2014 as a regular holiday throughout the country in observance of the Feast of Ramadhan (Eid’l Fitr).
The President of the Philippine Benigno S. Aquino III via its Proclamation Number 826 has declared July 29,2014 (Tuesday) a regular holiday in observance and celebration of Eid’l Fitr. This is to make sure that the entire Filipino nation have the opportunity to join their Muslim brothers and sisters during the celebration.
The declaration was necessary to bring religious and cultural significance of the Feast of Ramadhan and also to raise national consciousness of the religious celebration.
