Pope Francis Visits The Philippines, January 2015 Schedule

Pope Francis will have a 5-day visit to the Philippines on January 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19, 2015. Executive Secretary Pacquito Ochoa, with authority of President PNoy, has declared these days special non-working day in Metro Manila, NCR in view of the papal visit.

(Day 1) January 15
5:45PM – Arrival at Villamor Airbase

(Day 2) January 16
9:15AM – Welcome Ceremony and Courtesy Visit to the President at Malacanang Palace
10:15PM – Meeting with the government officials and the diplomatic corps at the Rizal Ceremonial Hall, Malacanang Palace
11:15AM – Holy Mass at the Manila Cathedral
5:30PM – Meeting with the Families at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City

(Day 3) January 17
8:15AM – Departure from Manila to Tacloban
9:30AM – Arrival at Tacloban Airport
10:00AM – Holy Mass at Tacloban Airport
12:45PM – Lunch with some of the Typhoon Yolanda survivors at the Archbishop’s Residence, Palo
3:00PM – Blessing of the Pope Francis Center for the Poor
3:30PM – Meeting with Priests, Religious Men and Women, Seminarians and families of Typhoon Yolanda Survivors
5:00PM – Departure for Manila from Tacloban
6:15PM – Arrival at Villamor Airbase, Pasay City

(Day 4) January 18
9:45AM – Meeting with the Religious Leaders of the Philippines at the University of Santo Tomas, Espana, Manila
10:30AM – Meeting with the Youth at the University of Santo Tomas, Espana Manila
3:00PM – Holy Mass at the Luneta / Rizal Park in Manila

(Day 5) January 19
9:45AM – Send-Off Ceremony at the Presidential Pavillion, Villamor Airbase, Pasay City
10:00AM – Departure for Rome

Based on the schedule, Pope Francis will spend his Day 3 in Tacloban Philippines, Day 4 on University of Santo Tomas and in Luneta in Manila.
