A friend of mine has been using her Samsung Champ for quite some time now. I asked her about what she likes and dislikes about the unit.
In fact, I have recorded some of our Tagalog conversations which I will share in this post. The features that captured her attention were fake calls and a mobile tracker.
Based on her explanation fake calls can get you out of unwanted meetings. You just have to set the dummy calls according to your preferred schedule, then it will ring by itself as if there is really someone calling you.
The other thing is the mobile tracker feature wherein you have to register your sim so that when your phone got stolen you will have the capability to know the number of the new sim inserted, though she has not tried it yet.
Out of the box, Samsung Champ comes with a power plugin, wired earphone, warranty papers, and a user’s manual.
Some of our Tagalog conversation relating to the phone’s feature:
- Me: ano naeencounter mo problem dun
or ano yung nagugustuhan mo at ayaw mo dun sa unit - My Friend: so far wala p nman ok nman un mga features.. may fake call pa pwede daw mging excuse to get out of unwanted meetings gnun
- Me: ano ibig sabihin ng fake call
- Friend: magriring xa kunyare pero wala nman tlga caller
ikaw lng magseset - Me: ic
ok naman features - Friend: ok nman, may mobile tracker
- Me: ano ibig sabihin ng mobile tracker
- Friend: iseset mo din ireregister mo un sim mo, para pag may nagnakaw at may pinasok na sim malalaman mo un number nung bgong sim n pinasok pero di ko p ntry un
