Just today I saw a TV advertisement of this Dual Sim phone from Samsung. It is called Samsung Punch (as advertised in the Philippines).
It is capable of having a dual standby which only means that both sims can be used without the need for switching from one sim to another. Both sims can receive text messages simultaneously unlike other dual sim phones.
This is what makes this mobile phone somehow unique. Plus the fact that it was made by renowned brands like Samsung. Though it has quick links on Social networking sites sadly the phone is not on 3G and no Wifi.

Gumagana naman. Pero mag reply ka sa service ng telco when accessing your account. Wala syang 3G so expect na medyo mabagal ang connection nyan.

I just bought a Samsung Punch last weekend and I can say I’m pleased with this gadget.
I like it because it’s pretty cheap, dual SIM(I hate bringing two phones) and I don’t need WIFI.
It’s really really light and a bit tricky to use at first.
The only thing that I have problems with is the scrollable applications at the home screen that includes, yahoo messenger, facebook and twitter. I don’t know if I just can’t find how to remove it or it just can’t be removed at all.

Kung sanay ka sa hindi qwerty keyboard medyo mahihirapan, pero mabilis naman mag adjust. So don’t worry that much.
kung sanay ka sa conventional na keypad mahihirapan ka sa umpisa, pero masasanay ka din. ako 1st time ko nagkaron ng samsung phone at 1st time ko din sa qwerty, ok naman to para sakin. sa una lang mahirap, sanayan lang..

i’m planning to buy this as a gift. the person i’m planning to give this to is quite practical in his choices with cellphones. he is not particular with taking pictures, as long as the battery does not drain after one day. He also prefers cellphones with speakers with nice quality. I hope the Samsung Punch covers those preferences. Although this does not have 3G, right?

I just got one. I noticed there’s always the letter G on my upper left screen. Does that mean I’m connected to GPRS?does that mean I’m being charged for that?I don’t want to connect to any internet but I can’t seem to remove the letter G…please help?
