SKK Mobile has just unveiled Phoenix X1, their newest flagship phone and the cheapest octa-core device running on android KitKat OS out of the box as of August 2014 in the Philippines.
Phoenix X1 is a 5-inch HD capacitive touchscreen device running on the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system out of the box. It is powered by a 1.7 GHz Mediatek octa-core processor backed by a Mali-450MP GPU.
It has 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 64GB via microSD card. It features a 13MP rear with flash and a 5MP selfie front camera. Dual 3G SIM / dual standby is also available in the unit.

If you have plans of getting an android smartphone, I would suggest that you wait a little longer until SKK Phoenix X1 is officially available in the market. This is to make sure you would have other options aside from the cheapest (below P8K) octa-core devices that were launched by local distributors.
As of the writing, SKK Phoenix X1 is not yet available in the market but according to their official Facebook page, the device will be available anytime soon.
