Starmobile UP+ Plus is the beefed-up version of the previous UP. The new and improved device now comes with 8GB internal storage and is only 5490 pesos which is 500 pesos higher than the previous version. It is still affordable, I would say.
Starmobile goes back to the drawing board with Starmobile UP Plus, perhaps they have realized that the first variant which has 4GB ROM is not enough for such a powerful smartphone.
Another reason is that the internal storage of the first variant is a little smaller when compared to its competitor within the same price category. After the additional 4GB, it is now named Starmobile UP+ (with a plus sign).
UP+ just like its predecessor is a 5-inches running on the latest Android 4.4 KitKat OS out of the box. It is packed with a 1.3GHz Quad-core MediaTek processor and Mali 400 MP2 GPU. It is equipped with 8MP auto-focus rear camera that has BSI and LED flash and 2MP front-facing camera.
UP+ offers tons of unique features; Double tap to wake and sleep for better screen access, multipoint gestures to easily open apps and execute commands, smart camera controls to allow the user to capture images by merely talking or tapping the LCD screen, call and text filtering to block incoming calls and text for improved privacy, and battery saver for managing battery consumption.
