TESDA is offering commercial cooking courses to those individuals who aspire to become knowledgeable when comes to cooking hot and cold meals, preparing and baking pastry products.
Individuals who would take the course will have a technical know-how about cleaning and sanitizing, store and stack, follow cleaning schedules, selection and assembly of kitchen utensils and equipments.
They will learn how to identify and select ingredients required per menu. Prepare, decorate different kinds of cakes and pastries. They will learn the right selection process for primary, secondary, and portioned cuts of chicken, beef, vegetables, seafoods, pork, and lambs. They will become educated when comes to utilizing the appropriate cooking methods.
Commercial Cooking students will learn about the arrangement of sauces and garnishes, plate and food presentation, selection of appropriate packaging materials and procedures. There are many topics which are not mentioned but will be covered during the duration of the course.

Just like the other 200 plus tesda courses, the duration and the tuition fee for the commercial cooking course depends on the school. There are lots of accredited schools that offer the said course, students just have to choose the right one for them. They have to consider the location, the reputation of the school, the duration, and the tuition fee.
